OH OH OH i forgot, i was reading the comment number three… u definetly can´t say neko and arimas in the same phrase if u r meaning the cat to stay alive lol… so beddo no ue ni neko ga IMAS… well excepting that the poor cat is dead O.O :(

Very funny, I don´t find Japanese hard, is quite easy excepting for the 32.000 kanjis from where you should learn about 2000 to be at the level of a japanese college student. Is true that many japanese people can´t speak english right but my professor is amazing, he does speak a perfect english, he is good in spanish but better in english, BTW I´m from Venezuela and in case you don´t know where it is (and that´s mostly what will happen) we speak spanish, and spanish is harder than english and than japanese so I find myself very lucky learning it first than any other language

Hello, it was quite funny to read your post. I made the resolution to learn japanese, because, for someone who speaks Spanish, the pronunciation is literal, quite different is the case of English and French.

I think many people in these days are studying Chinese, I found more Chinese courses than Japanese courses.

As an advanced student of Japanese I completely subscribe to what’s outlined in “You think Japanese is hard?”. I’ll say even more:
The reason why Japanese is not only difficult, but also annoyingly difficult is because IT IS UNNECESSARILY DIFFICULT. I can properly say that JAPANESE WRITING SYSTEM IS STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID, and only Japanese people don’t want to see how chaotic, nonsensical, and unstructured it is.

Beginners, don’t do it. Don’t study Japanese. It’s not beautiful after five years. Believe me.

This is really really funny. You are not only a good teacher but also a good comediant. Thanks for posting things like this. Its interesting what the first comment says because theres a lot of japanese people that only talk to you because you seem to know english, and if you talk to them in japanese they ignore you and keep “speaking” in english. I dont have anything against japanese people at all but I just hate this kind of people that see you as a tool for them to learn. (Sadly in Japan are huge amounts of this kind of people). Keep teaching us, and making us laughf. お願いいいい

I’m learning Japanese and so far, all I’m doing is trying to remember all 5 billion kanji. Then again, I’m teaching myself. Japanese makes so much more sense than English.:D I’m also learning Italian so I can go to Italy, Spanish so I can communicate, and Latin so I can lean the other two faster. Yep, I’m crazy.

Thank you for posting this it is really funny. I too was also looking for some assurance that the language was manageable. I’m still leaning towards maybe a 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 on how hard the language will be for me. I only know english and japanese is so different from it I hear. Oh well, at least I’m not alone on this. I’ll definately look into taking a japanese class later on in life.
