yes, というか　is commonly slurred to
っていうか　or っつ-か

That’s really clever how the title of the book is a problem itself. (問題 is a noun, not an adjective) Pretty ironic.

Yes, there are many variation of と言う such as ていう because it’s used so often. I had planned to write my third post about that but I’ve been lazy lately…

Thanks for this post! I read a bit about というか in 問題な日本語, have you read that? But I’m glad to have it explained in English! (Never fully trust my comprehension in Japanese, I get the feeling that I ‘get it’ but then the doubts set in)

Do people slur it to つーか？Or is that something else? I’ve seen people write that.

I’m checking every day for an update! you’re site is great for explaining nuances that other people just can’t seem to explain to me. I’ve got some ideas for subjects/posts:
1. Deconstructing the wakes.
わけだ、わけではない、わけにはいかない、etc…
2. ありうる・ありえる and their usage.
3. Common keigo set phrases.
4. 決まり文句 (set phrases)
