Yves is a good guy, too complain about his site becoz of ads is sad. You should have just said you were moving and not complain about 3yen. Just coz you got free hosting so you don`t have to have ads is a shallow point. Shows what kind of guy you are.

I don’t mind adverts on any website. I just mind the bright red ads on white background with people at work walking past and saying stuff to me like ‘I thought you had a girlfriend’ or ‘ahhh that’s why you are studying Japanese’ Because all they read is the advert text. cheers

go on and move then, I’ll visit both sites, this thing about the ads is so pathetic, so what if there are ads on a site? there are lots of people who want to meet Japanese girls (who says they are fanatical?) and if they support 3yen cover costs, what’s your concern, you still get content for free

I like that the ads are going away. I mean, I don’t mind them that much, but it gives a weird image to the site. Like learn japanese just to score with fanatical japanese women.

Shikoku88Henro, I don’t think so. Those are your words not mine. I explained everything to Yves before I wrote this post and there are absolutely no ill feelings between us. In fact, he suggested putting the link to my new blog. I understand the need for ads especially when you have to pay for hosting, it’s just not the kind of ads I personally care for. It’s fortunate that I have free hosting from the kind folks at ibiblio.org that removes the need for ads. Besides which, the ads are only one of the reasons why I decided to move.
